LVMEN [Cze] / KADET [Split] / TALASON [Split]
Another great gig! Lvmen are cult band from Czech Republic and have been playing for years from mid 90's, recorded three albums and did a comeback tour supporting it. For this event we have made special silkscreened invitations, flyers and promo cdr covers. Support bands were Talason from Split - new stoner rock metal band featuring few guys from Essence and To; and Kadet. Video was professionally recorded and exists in GSL archives. All design and promotional material was done by Igor from Lvmen cover artwork. |

ANITA [Split]
This was last concert by Anita trio. Few days after that gig they have started to record a split cdr with To released for GSL label. This was small event to celebrate birthday of Ranko (guy from GSL crew), and was not in the afternoon but at 12:00 am instead. Around 30 friends came to this concert/birthday party. No tickets for this show were sold and we didn't made posters or flyers. Video documentation from this event is in GSL archives. |

CITIES IN DESOLATION [Greece] / ERIC BOROS [Canada] / KARMAKUMULATOR [Split]
First time to present really experimental and bizarre acts - GSL invited Cities In Desolation from Greece and Eric Boros from Canada (now living in France) to do a gig. Since Karmakumulator was long time friend with Eric and have collaborated few times in the past, this was very natural thing to happen. This was first time for Karmakumulator to perform a gig in years (this time as a trio - drums, computer/effects and diy digeridoo), Eric Boros played prepared guitar and diy effect box with bizarre vocals, and Cities In Desolation performed powerful drone mixed with harsh noise. Svagi, Tina and Igor did a poster for this event (it was, in fact, poster for 10 days of program inside club Kocka in April 2007). Audio and video materials exist in GSL archives. |

DISLIKE [Požega] / DESINENCE MORTIFICATION [Pula]
This was supposed to be little festival (organised by GSL and ZloSTavljanje Concerts from Split), but since Giht Shasie broke up one more time and ETIGOH cancelled the show, it ended up being concert between probably 2 best croatian grindcore bands - Desinence Mortification from Pula and Dislike from Pozega. Both bands play from mid 90's and have their powerful and energic set developed to maximum. Lots of videos from this concert are posted on karmakumulat0r youtube channel. Svagi drawed all font in Napalm Death style Igor designed the poster and flyers. |

DEATH DISCO [Zagreb] / ZIVOTTINJA [Split] / MAN ZERO [Đurđevac/Zagreb] First time for 3 great bands to play together - Death Disco was post punk band from Zagreb and Man Zero was postrock band from Đurđevac/Zagreb. They both had many great gigs, Death Disco had released cd for Dirty Old Label in 2006. and Man Zero have their album "Telemark" released on Guranje S Litice label in 2009. Zivottinja is another project by 2 members of GSL - drone noise experimental rock. They have recorded an album in 2006. but never finished it. Poster was made by Vinko Baric (famous comic artist from Split/Croatia) and Igor had designed it. There is video and audio materials in GSL archives for this event. |
TENA NOVAK [Zagreb] / DAMO SUZUKI [Japan] / KADET [Split] Another interesting gig, this time band from Zagreb/Croatia - psychedelic instrumental kraut rock, with legendary Can's singer Damo Suzuki. Their set was all improvised live and for few in the audience too long. Also, Tena Novak played their usual set that night. Opening act was Kadet from Split, again presenting their unique postrock sound. Poster was drawed and designed by Mina. There is video and audio material from this concert in GSL archives. |
COG [Osijek] / ANITA [Split] Again Cog from Osijek/Croatia as guests, this time celebrating their release for Moonlee Records from Zagreb. cd came out almost a year ago after this concert (unfortunately) and vinyl release never came out (too bad :( ) but this show was great. Anita played their usual set from that time, part of this material later was recorded for split with To. Srđan designed poster. There is few videos from this event on karmakumulat0r youtube page. |
POLJA LAVANDE [Zagreb] / ANITA [Split] / KADET [Split] Polja Lavande were croatian math noise band, very popular in the beginning (2001.) After tour to Netherlands in 2002. and lots of concerts on Croatian, Slovenian and Bosnian territory they split for few years. This concert was one of few concerts they did after they started to play again. This time they had vocal and played few new and few older songs. Anita played almost the same material as few months earlier with Cog. Kadet is postrock band from Split/Croatia. they have recorded few demo materials from 2004. to 2008. when they started to record an album for still unknown publisher. Here they played usual set with some projections on the wall. This concert was also on smaller stage of Kocka. Srđan designed concert poster. Image from that poster was later used for cover of Anita/To split cdr. |
GONE BALD [Netherlands] another gig with friends from Netherlands after 2 years. they are one of best noiserock bands in Europe. on this concert they have played material from their new ep (at the time) "Exotic Claustrophobia" together with few older songs. this concert was without support band. flyer design was taken from "Exotic Claustrophobia" cover artwork by Igor Hofbauer from Zagreb. name "Noise domjenak" means "noise banquet" 'cause there were free cakes and bread for people that came to concert. there is audio and video material from this concert in GSL archives. |
COG [Osijek] / ANITA [Split] / THIS DAY WILL BURN [Osijek] second GSL concert, this time not on main Kocka stage but in small hall (just like in the beginning...), featuring 2 bands from Osijek,Croatia and one from Split. Anita from Split later recorded their split cdr for Guranje S Litice label and This Day Will Burn played posthardcore screamo music. Cog is band that played 1997-2000 and this concert was beginning of their comeback for few years. They have recorded an album for Moonlee Records and did few shows. Unfortunately they split in 2008. but definitely were one of best noise rock bands in Croatia ever! On this concert they played mix of new and old stuff. Their audio recording from this concert was intented for cdr release but one channel was full of crackle and overall not usable. Video material exists in GSL archive. Igor designed poster for this event. |
GIHT SHASIE [Split] / [mandelbrot set] [Rijeka/Zadar] / ONE PIECE PUZZLE [Rijeka] Great concert to start with new concept – presenting experimental as well as good hardcore/punk/noise/metal acts featuring 3 croatian bands – Giht Shasie from Split, [mandelbrot set] from Zadar/Rijeka and One Piece Puzzle from Rijeka. Giht Shasie played material which they didn't have chance to play on concert mentioned before, which was their new demo material at the time ''Prokleti zivi, neumorni mrtvi''. [mandelbrot set] played their standard set including offensive conversation with audience between songs and almost fighting some sweet metal headbangers. Only real problem was police in the middle of One Piece Puzzle show. They played great metal/electronic/bizarre/noise crossover musick. There is video material in archives and poster was designed by Igor. |

TENA NOVAK [Zagreb] / GRUUTHAAGY [Pozega] / KARMAKUMULATOR+NO NAME NO FAME [Split] Carpe Diem! Records was improvised, totally diy and most enthusiastic label thinkable, starting in 1999. and ending in 2004. operated by Igor Mihovilovic and Mario Kovac. This show was in a way farewell to an era and beginning of another one – in lots of ways more professional. Guranje S Litice idea was born shortly after, and this is last show before it all came to mind. Idea was to have few bands and projects play together – Igor's Karmakumulator project (which collaborated that evening with electronic act from split – No Name No Fame), Giht Shasie – experimental digital grind project from Split (featuring members of Breed, Essence, Pale), Tena Novak from Zagreb (Mario from Carpe Diem! Played with them) – great krautrock band with outrock touch, Gruuthaagy from Pozega – cult industrial/noise/electronic pioneer/singer/songwritter. This show was very interesting, Giht Shasie didn't play 'cause they split up during soundcheck (!!!), Gruuthaagy was very powerful and intense, Tena Novak played their usual set, and Karmakumulator plus NNNF was bizarre as it can be. There is video material from this evening in archives, and poster was designed by Igor. |

KLUB KOCKA LOKVA [Split] / ZVONKO I GRADSKI URED ZA KULTURU [Zagreb]
Zvonko i gradski ured za kulturu were cabaret punk band from Zagreb. They were friends of GSL crew and they played chaotic and funny show in front of 30 people. Lokva here finally played their gig after problems of performing earlier with Peach Pit. No photos or videos exist from this event. Igor designed poster. |

KLUB KOCKA "DECADE OF DIGRESSION - 10 YEARS OF NO COMMENT" NO COMMENT [Split] / [mandelbrot set] (Zadar/Rijeka) / WILL TO FAIL [Split] / GONE BALD [Netherlands] great event with great friends! No Comment were one of the first bands in Split, Croatia that played hardcore, noise, grunge and punk rock influenced music, and here they were celebrating 10 years of existence. [mandelbrot set] is band from Zadar/Rijeka, Croatia and they played in Split for the second time. Gone Bald are famous noiserockers from Amsterdam, while Will To Fail was another project by members of Breed and Essence. They played fast and furious emotional noise rock. Poster was designed by Igor. Few videos from this concert are posted on Youtube (karmakumulat0r channel), all video material exist in GSL archive. |

KLUB KOCKA PEACH PIT [Zagreb] / BREED [Split] first gig in 2003: famous croatian postrock/instrumental/mathnoise band was again active after year or so of not playing and we asked them to play in our club. Their set was great, they even played one song performed only on that and one more concert, they even had two drummers for part of the set. Local bands Lokva – prog metal band active and well known at the time and Kiklop – some kind of alter rock cover band were supposed to play. As a bizarre set of circumstances they didn’t get to play at all – instead we asked screamo hardcore band Breed to fill in in the last minute – and they did, playing their last show ever. Poster for this event Igor made from 2 different cover artworks from Peach Pit. There are no photos from this concerts, only bad quality audio is in the archives of GSL. |

CHANG FFOS [Zagreb] / USUD [Zagreb] / ESSENCE [Split] third gig, for the first time on Kocka stage instead of improvised stage in smaller hall of Kocka club. probably around 150 souls attending. Usud are great deathmetal band from Zagreb, Chang Ffos are famous croatian stonerrock/metal band also from Zagreb, and Essence is legendary hardcore/metal band from Split, very close connected to GSL concept.few photos as well as video exists in GSL archives. poster designed by Ranko. |

PODRUM DOMA OMLADINE PALE / STEREO HRVOJE / POLJA LAVANDE [all from Split] another diy gig organised in last 5 minutes. Pale played last show in original lineup, while Stereo Hrvoje played one of their first gigs together with already famous Polja Lavande from Split. no posters were made and no photos from this event exist in our archives. |
|
PODRUM DOMA OMLADINE BREED / PALE / BELLPEACE NOISE / APOTEKA [all from Split] this was first concert organised by Guranje S Litice crew. Pale and Breed were bands we were playing in at the time (Igor and Luka, founders of GSL) and Bellpeace Noise and Apoteka were friends from Split/Croatia. name Guranje S Litice was not yet in use. club was also not Kocka yet, they both got named in 2004. unfortunately, no pictures or posters from this event [maybe poor audio recording from the audience still exists somewhere], |
